Under the hood of the SLZB-MR3U are two separate, dedicated radio SoCs. Radio 1 is powered by the Texas Instruments CC2674P10 chip with +20 dBm power and extensive RAM for massive Zigbee networks. Radio 2 runs on the well-known Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 chip with a built-in AI/ML accelerator, optimized for Thread 1.3 and Matter. Thanks to this separate hardware architecture, both protocols can operate simultaneously at full power without interference or mutual capacity conflicts.

The SLZB-MR3U supports four different connection methods: Power over Ethernet (802.3af PoE via the WIZnet W5500 Ethernet chip), regular LAN cable, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and USB-C pass-through. With the built-in USB-A pass-through port, you can also connect an additional dongle (such as a Z-Wave or USB-serial converter) and transparently route it through your network. The built-in SLZB-OS offers an extensive web interface with OTA updates, WireGuard VPN, and an optional ESPHome flasher.
