A loose sensor cable detects water less reliably than a cable that is fully in contact with the floor or wall. The Shelly Cable Bracket holds the Shelly Leak Sensor Cable firmly in place, ensuring the cable remains in contact with the surface along its entire length. The set includes 10 brackets, enough for several meters of cable or multiple detection routes in one room.

Attachment and assembly

Each bracket has a pre-mounted double-sided adhesive layer. Press the holder onto a clean, dry surface, and the cable is immediately secured – no tools required. For extra firmness in high-traffic areas or on less smooth surfaces, a screw hole is also present. Screws are not included. The white color and low profile of 7 mm high make the brackets barely visible on light surfaces.

Applications

Use the brackets to guide the sensor cable along baseboards, under appliances, in pipe shafts, or around corners. They are suitable for any cable up to Ø 4.5 mm, so they also work for other thin cables near the sensor. Combine them with the Shelly Leak Sensor Cable for an installation that looks neat and functions technically well.

They are designed for the Shelly Leak Sensor Cable, but work for any cable up to Ø 4.5 mm. Think of thin signal cables or sensor wires in similar applications.

Are screws included?

No. Each bracket has a pre-mounted adhesive layer for tool-free assembly. If you want to use screws for extra grip, you will need to provide them yourself.

How many brackets do I need per meter of cable?

That depends on the route and the surface. On a straight floor or wall, 1 bracket per 30 to 50 cm is usually sufficient. For corners or narrow passages, use more for consistent surface contact.

Does the adhesive layer also work on tiles or concrete?

Yes, on smooth and grease-free surfaces, the adhesive layer adheres well. On rough or porous surfaces such as untreated concrete, we recommend screw mounting for a reliable attachment.

Can I reposition the brackets after sticking them?

The adhesive layer is not designed for repositioning. Once glued and pulled off, the adhesive layer loses its adhesive strength. Therefore, plan the cable route well in advance
