Power and Connectivity

The device operates on 100-240V~ 50/60Hz with an EFR32MG22 chip and communicates via Zigbee 3.0, without WiFi or Matter. As a Zigbee end device, it does not have a router function, so it does not repeat the Zigbee signal for other devices in your mesh network.

Functionality and Settings

The switching capacity is a maximum of 6A resistive load. Thanks to optimization for low power, the switch works stably with LED lamps from 3W, without flickering and without the need for an external anti-flicker module. Please note: connecting an external flash suppression module can actually damage the device, which is not recommended by the manufacturer.

Safety and Reliability

Home Assistant

The Orb-ZBW1L integrates into Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT, requiring a Zigbee coordinator such as the SONOFF ZBDongle-P or ZBDongle-E.

• Turn on the coordinator and open the ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT integration in Home Assistant.
• Press and hold the button on the Orb-ZBW1L for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode.
• Start searching for new devices in ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT.
• The device will be recognized as a Zigbee end device and added to the network.

After pairing, a switch entity will appear for the on/off function. Local control is confirmed, both ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT work fully locally without a cloud connection.
