Compatibility and performance:

• For cloud speech processing (and therefore fast response and support for more languages such as Dutch) you need a Nabu Casa subscription.
• Local work is possible, but only English is fully supported without the cloud. Other languages, such as Dutch, currently only work via the cloud.
• Home Assistant Green is powerful enough to run Voice Preview Edition smoothly, including local speech recognition. Cloud processing can be faster under heavy loads or with many voice commands.
• Fully compatible with Home Assistant. Homey or other smart home hubs are not supported.

Want to expand? Easily connect sensors or accessories via the Grove port. The Voice Preview Edition runs entirely on open-source software and is easily customizable or expanded by the community. Note: the built-in speaker is for voice feedback; for music, we recommend an external speaker via the 3.5mm jack.
