Is the Connect ZWA-2 suitable for my Home Assistant setup?

Yes! The ZWA-2 works seamlessly via USB with almost any Home Assistant installation (Green, Yellow, Raspberry Pi, or a custom server with HAOS). It's 100% plug-and-play via the official Z-Wave JS integration.

Can I use Z-Wave Mesh and Z-Wave Long Range simultaneously?

Absolutely. The ZWA-2 is dual-mode. For each device you add, you can decide whether to run it via the traditional mesh network or connect it directly via Long Range.

Why is the antenna so large (32 cm)?

Z-Wave uses the 868 MHz frequency (sub-GHz). The laws of physics dictate that an antenna for this lower frequency must be physically larger to achieve optimal range. However, thanks to the included 1.5-meter cable, you can easily place the antenna upright on a cabinet and neatly hide the base out of sight.

How do firmware updates work?

Very simply. The ZWA-2 receives its firmware updates directly via the Home Assistant dashboard. You update the controller with a single click, without the hassle of separate flash software.
