How does this life-saving upgrade work?

The Shelly Gas Add-on is a smart, motor-driven arm that you mount over your existing main gas valve (ball valve) with the included clamp. As soon as your Shelly Gas sensor detects a leak, it sends an immediate signal through the cable to the Add-on. The Add-on's powerful motor activates immediately and physically turns off the gas valve, stopping the gas flow.
