The sensor features a waterproof stainless steel (RVS) casing of 50 mm length and 6 mm diameter, making it perfectly suitable for both air temperature and liquid measurement. The 1-meter black cable ends in a 3.5 mm jack connector that you plug directly into The Pill by Shelly — no tools, no soldering required.

Minor drawback

The cable length of 1 meter might be too short for some applications. Shelly also offers a 3-meter variant if you need more reach.

Can I connect multiple sensors to The Pill by Shelly?
Yes! The Pill by Shelly supports up to 5 DS18B20 sensors simultaneously. Use the separately available Shelly Splitter 1-to-5 (3.5 mm jack) for this. Each sensor has a unique address via the 1-Wire protocol and is read out individually.

Is the sensor suitable for outdoor use or in liquids?
Yes, the waterproof stainless steel casing makes the sensor suitable for use in damp, wet environments and direct contact with liquids such as water.

Does this sensor also work with Shelly Plus 1, Plus 1PM, or Pro devices?
No. The DS18B20 with 3.5 mm jack works exclusively with The Pill by Shelly. For the Shelly Plus and Pro series, you need a DS18B20 with loose wires in combination with the Shelly Plus Add-on.
