Key Features
Supercharge your Home Assistant with Broadlink Manager v2
The RM4c mini is a favorite within the Home Assistant community. With the Broadlink Manager v2 add-on (a community project available on GitHub ), managing your IR devices becomes a breeze. Learn commands with a modern web interface, automatically generate Home Assistant entities (lights, switches, fans), and utilize the built-in SmartIR integration with thousands of pre-programmed devices. No more manual YAML fiddling.
One app for all your IR devices
Control thousands of devices from hundreds of brands. The Broadlink app has a vast cloud database of IR codes. Select your device, and the remote will automatically configure itself. Still not working? You can easily learn the codes manually by pointing your old remote at the RM4c mini.
Voice control via Google Assistant and Alexa
Connect the RM4c mini to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and control your devices with your voice. Say "Hey Google, turn on the TV" or "Alexa, set the air conditioner to 22 degrees."
Create scenes and schedules
Set schedules to automatically turn devices on or off. Create a "Movie Night" scene that turns on the TV, selects the amplifier, and sets the AC to a comfortable temperature with a single tap.
Compact and discreet design
The compact, cylindrical design blends seamlessly into any interior. Thanks to its 360-degree infrared radiation, you can place it centrally in a room to reach all your devices. It has a range of up to 8 meters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Home Assistant difficult to use with the RM4c mini?
With the arrival of the Broadlink Manager v2 add-on (available on GitHub ), it's become much easier. This add-on offers a user-friendly web interface within Home Assistant for learning commands, managing devices, and even automatically generating entities (switches, lights, etc.). This is a huge improvement over the old, manual method.
What's the difference between the RM4c mini and the RM4 Pro?
The RM4c mini only supports infrared (IR). The RM4 Pro supports both infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF, 433MHz). If you want to control devices like a Somfy awning or a KlikAanKlikUit switch, you'll need the RM4 Pro.
Do I need to buy a USB adapter?
Yes, a standard 5V/1A USB adapter (like an old phone charger) is required, but not included. The Micro USB cable is included.
Can I operate devices when I'm not at home?
Yes, as long as the RM4c mini is connected to your home WiFi network, you can control your devices from anywhere in the world via the Broadlink app or your Home Assistant instance (if remotely reachable).
What if my device is not in the database?
No problem. You can use the "learning" function via the Broadlink app or the Broadlink Manager in Home Assistant. Point your old remote control at the RM4c mini and press the buttons you want to copy. The RM4c mini will save the codes so you can use them via the app or Home Assistant.
Will this work with my brand X TV?
Broadlink supports over 98% of IR-controlled devices on the market. The combination of the built-in database, SmartIR profiles (via Broadlink Manager), and manual learning makes it virtually 100% likely that your device will work.
