The MOES ZSS-S01-TH is an ultracompact Zigbee 3.0 sensor that continuously measures temperature and relative humidity and wirelessly transmits that data to your smart home system. Automation example
Connect the ZSS-S01-TH to your bathroom fan via Zigbee2MQTT: as soon as the humidity rises above 70%, the fan automatically switches on. If the humidity drops below 60%, it switches off again. The sensor sends updates as soon as there is a significant change, allowing the automation to react quickly and energy-efficiently.
FAQ
Does the sensor have a display?
No, the ZSS-S01-TH does not have a screen. Measured values can only be viewed via your smart home app, dashboard, or a voice assistant.
Which hub do I need?
You need a Zigbee 3.0 coordinator, such as a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle, SmLight SLZB-06, HA Connect ZBT-2, or the MOES Zigbee gateway. Standalone use without a hub is not possible.
How quickly is data updated?
Depending on the degree of change: every 10 seconds with large fluctuations, once an hour under stable conditions. Deliberately designed for maximum battery life.
Is the accuracy good?
In practical tests, a maximum temperature deviation of 0.5°C and approximately 2% humidity deviation, which is normal for sensors in this class.
Can the sensor receive firmware updates?
Yes, OTA updates are supported via Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA.
Does the sensor act as a Zigbee router?
No, the ZSS-S01-TH is an end device and does not extend the Zigbee network. This is normal for battery-powered sensors.
