Thanks to 60 GHz mmWave radar technology, it detects presence (even if you're sitting still) by picking up tiny signals like breathing and heartbeat. The eMotion Ultra is the most complete sensor in the LinknLink eMotion series. Instead of separate devices for presence, temperature, light measurement, and infrared control, you now have one smart device that combines everything:

🏠 Seamless integration with Home Assistant

After the one-time configuration via the LinknLink app, the eMotion Ultra communicates fully locally with Home Assistant via MQTT. Both Motion2MQTT (presence) and IR2MQTT (infrared) are built-in; no extra integration or cloud traffic is needed for your automations. All entities appear directly in Home Assistant: zones, light intensity, temperature, humidity, and IR control. Additionally, the sensor is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Siri.

⚡ Practical automation example

Set your desk chair in your office as zone 1. As soon as the sensor detects you AND the light intensity drops below 50 lux, Home Assistant automatically switches on the desk light to 80% warm white. When you leave the room, the sensor waits 2 minutes (adjustable) and everything — including the monitor and the fan via IR — switches off automatically. This prevents energy waste without ever having to think about it.

🔧 Installation

Connect the USB-C cable to a 5V/2A adapter (not included), download the LinknLink app, and follow the wizard. The magnetic stand offers three options: freestanding on a table, wall mounting, or magnetic attachment to a metal surface. Then add the device to Home Assistant via the MQTT integration. The temperature/humidity cable connects to the connector on the bottom of the device.

What's the difference between the eMotion Pro and eMotion Max?
The Pro (24 GHz) is the entry-level model with IR and presence detection, but without zones or a BLE hub. The Max (60 GHz) adds accurate zone detection and person tracking, but lacks temperature/humidity and the BLE hub. The Ultra has it all: 60 GHz, all sensors, IR, AND a BLE hub. Does the sensor work completely locally with Home Assistant?
Yes. After the initial setup via the app, everything works locally via MQTT. No active cloud connection is needed for your automations.

Can I connect Zigbee or Z-Wave devices via the BLE hub?
No, the built-in hub only supports LinknLink BLE accessories. For Zigbee or Z-Wave, you need a separate controller.

Is Matter already available?
Not yet, but LinknLink has announced Matter support as a future firmware update.

Which BLE accessories can I pair?
