Description
Making energy consumption transparent without complicated wiring
Do you want to know exactly how much power your washing machine, coffee maker, or space heater consumes? Just plug the SONOFF S60ZBTPF into the wall socket, and you immediately have control and insight. This Zigbee plug measures real-time current, voltage, and power, and stores historical data so you can see exactly where your energy costs come from.
Power and connectivity
The device is suitable for 220-250V AC, 50/60Hz and supports loads up to a maximum of 16A. This makes it suitable for use with common mains voltage in Europe. Communication is via Zigbee 3.0, allowing connection with a Zigbee gateway such as Home Assistant or a Sonoff hub. The standby consumption of the device itself is less than 1W.
Functionality and settings
Through the eWeLink app, you can view real-time current (A), voltage (V), and power (W), as well as daily, previous day, and monthly energy consumption in kWh. Consumption data is stored hourly for up to 6 months in the eWeLink cloud and can be downloaded as a graph. Additionally, you can set timers, schedules, and a countdown function, and configure automatic shutdown if a self-selected power threshold is exceeded.
Expansion and Zigbee network
The S60ZBTPF functions as a Zigbee router and supports up to 64 end-devices in your network, which improves the coverage and stability of your mesh network. Feel free to combine the plug with other products from the energy meters category or expand your Zigbee network with additional switches.
Safety and reliability
The casing is made of fire-retardant PC V0 material and the relay has been tested for a maximum of 40,000 switching cycles. Built-in overload protection automatically switches off the plug if the set threshold is exceeded, and lightning and overvoltage protection prevents damage from dangerous voltage spikes. The device is suitable for use within a temperature range of -10°C to 40°C and a humidity of 5 to 95 percent RH, non-condensing.
Home Assistant
The S60ZBTPF integrates directly with Home Assistant via both ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT.
- Put the plug in pairing mode by holding down the button until the LED flashes
- Start the device discovery function in ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT and wait for the device to be found
- After pairing, entities for switch, power, voltage, and current will appear, for example
sensor.s60zbtpf_power - The device also functions as a Router within the Zigbee network, thereby strengthening your signal
- Local control is fully guaranteed, without dependence on a cloud connection
⚠️ Note: users previously reported a bug where the power was not correctly at 0 when the plug was switched off. This has now been resolved via an update to Zigbee2MQTT; make sure you are using the latest version.
Homey
For Homey, community support is available via a custom driver, which correctly displays voltage, current, and power, and synchronizes the physical button with the status in Homey. Note: the official Sonoff Zigbee app for Homey may not yet fully support this specific model, and some users reported that energy consumption does not correctly appear in Homey's Energy dashboard.
Other platforms
This device works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant via a compatible Zigbee hub, and is also suitable for Samsung SmartThings and IFTTT. For all these platforms, a Zigbee 3.0 gateway or similar hub is required.
Automation examples
- Everyday automation: set a schedule in Home Assistant where the plug automatically switches on every morning at 07:00 and switches off again at 23:00
- Advanced automation: send a notification to your phone as soon as the power of your washing machine or dryer drops below 2 watts, indicating that the program is finished
Points of attention
For smart home integration and remote control, a Zigbee 3.0 gateway is required; this device does not work standalone via WiFi. Also, note that the manufacturer specifies 16A as the maximum current and 250V as the upper limit of the supply voltage. As a result, you often see 4000W in product specifications, while in practice, this will be lower at 230V. Homey users may experience limited support for the energy dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a separate Zigbee hub?
Yes, you need a Zigbee 3.0 gateway or coordinator, such as a Home Assistant setup with ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT, or a Sonoff ZBBridge in combination with eWeLink.
Does this plug work with Homey?
Partially. Via a community driver, voltage, current, and power are available in Homey. The official app may not yet fully support this model, and the Energy dashboard might show incomplete data.
Does this plug accurately measure energy consumption?
Yes, the S60ZBTPF measures real-time current, voltage, and power, and stores historical data hourly for up to 6 months in the eWeLink cloud.
Can I use this plug for large appliances like a washing machine?
Yes, the plug supports loads up to 16A. However, take into account the connected power and the mains voltage in your situation.
Does this plug also act as a Zigbee signal booster?
Yes, the S60ZBTPF acts as a Zigbee router and supports up to 64 end-devices, which improves your network's coverage. Feel free to combine it with other Zigbee switches in your home.
Why do I sometimes see 4000W and sometimes a lower value mentioned?
SONOFF specifies this model for a maximum of 16A and up to 250V AC. As a result, you often encounter 4000W in official documentation. In countries where the mains voltage is around 230V, the calculated maximum will be lower.
