The Shelly Wave Door/Window is the next-generation Z-Wave sensor that takes security and smart automation to the next level. Its extremely compact and stylish design allows you to discreetly mount it on any door, window, garage door, or even medicine cabinet. It's so small (35x35x7 mm) that it even fits discreetly into your window frame.

More than just open or closed

This sensor is a true all-rounder. Besides instantly detecting an opening (with a response time of less than 100ms), it's equipped with two additional sensors:

1. Light sensor (LUX): Measures the light intensity in the room. Ideal for automatically turning on your lights when you come home in the dark and open the door.
2. Tilt sensor: Measures the tilt angle of a window. Perfect for tilt-and-turn windows, so you always know if a window is slightly open.

Installation is a breeze: simply remove the battery tab and it's ready to go. The included CR2032 battery lasts up to two years, depending on usage.

Seamless integration with your Smart Home

This sensor is based on Z-Wave 800 series technology, which ensures low energy consumption, a long range (up to 40m indoors), and the highest security with Security 2 encryption. However, you do need a Z-Wave gateway (hub) to use it.

Does it work with my smart home system?
Yes, and compatibility is excellent with major platforms:

• Home Assistant: The sensor works perfectly. You add it via the Z-Wave JS UI integration. All three sensors (open/closed, light intensity, and tilt angle) are recognized correctly, and all functions are available.
• Homey: Integration with Homey is seamless. You can easily add the sensor via the official Shelly app in the Homey App Store and start building your flows right away.
• Fibaro: The Shelly Wave Door/Window is fully supported by the Fibaro Home Center 3. The gateway correctly recognizes the device, and all parameters and sensors (open/close, light, and tilt) are available for use in your scenes.
