The brain of your smart home – everything connected, everything local
Do you have multiple smart devices from different brands that don't communicate with each other? The Homey Pro (2026) from the Dutch company Athom is the ultimate all-in-one home automation hub that brings all your smart devices together in a single, easy-to-use app – without relying on the cloud. With 4 GB of RAM , this new generation is suitable for larger installations and long-term use.
What's new compared to 2023?
The single most requested difference: the RAM has doubled from 2GB to 4GB of LPDDR4 . All radios, protocols, and features remain identical. Athom considers the 2023 and 2026 models the same generation —both models will receive the same updates and will be supported until at least June 2031 .
8 protocols in one device
The Homey Pro (2026) supports no fewer than 8 wireless protocols , allowing you to connect virtually any smart device on the market:
- Wi-Fi – 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz (b/g/n/ac)
- Bluetooth LE 5.0
- Zigbee 3.0 – up to 200 devices, 3 antennas for optimal range
- Z-Wave Plus (700 Series, S2 Security)
- 433 MHz RF – for KlikAanKlikUit (Start-line) and similar devices; KaKu Premium products are supported via Zigbee
- Infrared – reaches virtually every device in a room
- Thread Border Router
- Matter
In addition, the Homey Pro (2026) supports local and cloud API integrations, including Modbus-TCP and KNX-IP – ideal for those who want to connect an existing KNX system.
Thanks to this broad protocol offering, the Homey Pro (2026) can completely replace your existing hubs and bridges from Philips Hue, IKEA TRÅDFRI, KlikAanKlikUit, and more—but it doesn't have to. Want to keep your Philips Hue bridge for exclusive features? No problem: the Homey Pro also works seamlessly with existing bridges and hubs, so you won't miss out on any functionality.
Run more than 100 Homey apps simultaneously
Thanks to 4GB of RAM , you can easily run over 100 Homey apps simultaneously—compared to around 50 apps with the Homey Pro (2023). As your smart home grows and apps become more comprehensive, the Homey Pro (2026) will remain fast, stable, and future-proof.
Powerful local processing
The Homey Pro (2026) runs on a quad-core ARMv8 processor (1.5 GHz) , 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory, and 8 GB of eMMC storage. All processing happens locally on the device , ensuring lightning-fast response times and a reliable system that keeps working even if your internet goes down.
Automate without limits
With Homey Flows and Advanced Flows, you can create simple and complex automations. Manage and monitor your entire smart home setup from a single location using Homey Dashboards and Homey Insights . Voice control via Google Assistant , Amazon Alexa , and Siri is supported out of the box.
Up to 50,000+ devices from 1,000+ brands
Thanks to its extensive app ecosystem, Homey Pro supports over 50,000 products from over 1,000 popular brands . Whether you use Aqara , Philips Hue , Fibaro , Zooz , Apollo Automation , or ThirdReality , Homey Pro connects to them all.

Sample automation
Practical scenario: Set it up so that when the last person leaves the house (detection via Aqara presence sensor), the lights go off (Zigbee), the thermostat goes down (Z-Wave), the smart plugs are turned off (433 MHz), and the Aqara Smart Lock locks the door (Matter) – all at the same time, handled completely locally by the Homey Pro (2026), without any cloud dependency.
