FIBARO CO Sensor

The Fibaro Z-Wave Plus CO Sensor is a universal Z-Wave Plus-supported CO detector. Like a smoke detector, a CO detector is an essential device that belongs in every smart, but above all, secure, home. This compact detector features two alarm indicators, a built-in siren, and an RGB LED indicator. The CO detector operates wirelessly and is battery-powered, lasting up to 3 years.

Carbon monoxide detected, what happens now?

As soon as even a minimal amount of the poisonous gas carbon monoxide is released in the room where the CO Detector is installed , the CO Detector detects this immediately. The CO Detector itself will then, as expected, immediately emit an audible and visual signal. The CO Detector also reports this to your Home Center (or another Z-Wave-compatible base station), which will then perform the actions you have configured. For example, you can open all windows, set the ventilation to maximum, turn off the boiler, send a push notification to all your family's smartphones, and turn on all lights and emergency signals so you know what's happening as soon as the odorless carbon monoxide gas is detected.

Placement of the CO detector

We recommend installing a CO detector anywhere fuels are burned, such as a central heating boiler, gas stove, wood-burning stove, etc. Any non-electric heat source can produce CO due to incomplete combustion, and you won't smell this toxic gas. Protect yourself and your loved ones!
The Fibaro CO Detector is designed to be mounted on a wall (ideally 30 cm from the ceiling). The built-in LED displays various statuses: WHITE = confirmation of the start of a firmware update, GREEN = CO level being requested, MAGENTA = Z-Wave network test, YELLOW = Device reset. If you have adjusted the parameters via your Home Center, you must wake up the device so it can adopt the new parameters. This is done by simply pressing a button on the CO Detector.
