You have a Shelly Pro 3EM to accurately measure your energy consumption and generation, but you want to take the next step: actively intervene. The Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on is the missing link that makes this possible. This compact module clicks directly onto your Pro 3EM and adds a galvanically isolated, floating (dry contact) relay .

This finally allows you to put your measurements into action. The most powerful application is controlling a contactor (relay) . Automatically switch on your charging station when your solar panels produce surplus energy, turn on your boiler when rates are low, or switch off your solar panels when energy prices are negative. This add-on is powered directly by and integrated with your Shelly Pro 3EM , giving you one smart, combined device on your DIN rail.

The built-in relay can switch up to 2 amps (at 240V AC or 30V DC). This is perfect for controlling the coil of a contactor or other small signal. It is explicitly not intended for directly switching heavy equipment such as a charging station or heat pump. Always use a suitable contactor for this!

• Homey: Very good. The Shelly app for Homey supports the Pro series, making the switch available for use in your Homey Flows.
• Fibaro: Integration is possible but requires technical expertise. The connection must be set up manually via a Virtual Device that communicates with the Shelly Pro 3EM API.
