Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2

The Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 takes smart security to the next level. This compact sensor runs on the Thread protocol and supports Matter, allowing you to connect it directly to popular smart home platforms like Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings—without being tied to a single brand or ecosystem.

The P2 uses a highly accurate Hall sensor to detect the open/closed status of doors, windows, cabinets, or drawers. As soon as the sensor detects motion, you'll receive an instant notification on your smartphone, wherever you are. Thanks to local automation, your smart routines continue to function even if the internet goes down – ideal for privacy and reliability.

The sensor is easy to install with the included adhesive strip and, thanks to its compact design, fits into virtually any interior. The powerful CR123A battery ensures a long lifespan of up to 2 years, depending on use and hub type. With the upcoming Aqara Hub M3, you can further fine-tune the sensitivity (1-3 cm) and other settings, and use additional features such as a tamper alarm and programmable button.

Note: A Matter controller with a Thread Border Router is required for use, such as an Apple TV 4K, HomePod (mini/2nd gen), Echo 4, Nest Hub (2nd gen), SmartThings Hub v3, etc. Some features are only available through the Aqara Home app and require the Aqara Hub M3.
